Processors and Class D amps provide designers with an audio subsystem optimized for performance, time to market, and lower system cost
Designed to work together, the Advantiv ADAV4101/4312/4322/4201/4412/4422 audio processors and ADAU1590/1592/1513 Class D audio power amplifiers deliver a complete advanced TV audio subsystem while allowing designers to meet multiple product performance and price targets. The ADAV4101/4312/4322 audio processors incorporate an embedded processing engine that is coupled with multichannel 24-bit A/D converters and D/A converters.
The ADAV4312/4322 and ADAV4412/4422 offer full support for HD-ready and iDTV designs, as well as for multistandard analog broadcasts, such as BTSC, EIAJ, A2-Korea, A2-Europe, and NICAM, from analog terrestrial tuners via an on-chip demodulator and decoder. The two-channel Class D amplifiers have a 90% power efficiency rating at 8 Ω and a 101-dB dynamic range.
Featuring on-chip PDM (pulse-density modulation) and a closed-loop architecture, the ADAU1590 and ADAU1592 achieve 0.005% THD+N while delivering 11.5 W (stereo) and 18 W (stereo) into 6 Ω, respectively. The ADAU1513 delivers 14 W (stereo) into 8 Ω. The ADAV4101/4312/4322/4201/4412/4422 are available in 80-lead LQFPs and are pin-for-pin and software-register compatible while the ADAU1590/1592/1513 are available in 48-lead LFCSPs.
