The WM0010 programmable audio digital signal processor features a 200 MHz Tensilica HiFi DSP core along with a selection of sound enhancement software. The device has a 256Kbyte buffer RAM, 148 Kbytes of core memory and caches, two flexible 26-Mbit/s SDI interfaces, and SPi and I2C modules.
The 4.0 x 3.4-mm W-CSP packaged chip may significantly improve battery life by allowing the host processor to sleep for up to seven out of eight seconds of audio playback. The ICs transmit noise cancellation, and acoustic echo cancellation algorithms deliver up to 32 dB of noise cancellation capability. Also, beamforming solutions dramatically enhance audio call quality. ($4.98 ea/1,000 samples available now.)
