Auto chipset supports motion detection, adaptive cruise control

The 77-GHz family of automotive-qualified (TS-16949) chipsets includes eight products that can be used in a variety of design configurations for motion-sensing automotive and nonvehicular applications. The TGA4705-FC is a flip-chip low-noise amplifier with 23-dB small signal gain and a 5-dB noise figure at 77 GHz typ for Rx chain architectures. The TGA4706-FC is a flip-chip medium-power amplifier with 14-dBm saturated output power with 15-dB small signal gain at 77 GHz typ.

The TGS4305-FC is a 60 to 90-GHz SP3T switch that offers a typical switching speed of less than 5 ns and when flipped provides a nominal 2.3-dB insertion loss, greater-than-13-dB through-state return loss, and 20-dB isolation. The 70-to 90-GHz TGS4306-FC SP4T switch offers a typical switching speed of less than 5 ns and when flipped provides a nominal 3-dB insertion loss, 8-dB return loss in the through state, and 20-dB isolation.

The TGV2204-FC flip-chip VCO for frequency stability in Tx chains provides 7-dBm output power at 19 GHz with less than –105-dBc/Hz phase noise at 1-MHz offset, while its integrated divide-by-8 prescaler eases PLL design. The TGC4702-FC A down-converting IQ mixer with 12-dB conversion loss from 75 to 82 GHz to an IF frequency band of dc to 100 MHz typ.

The TGC4703-FC flip-chip frequency doubler combines an input/output buffer amplifier and a frequency doubler providing 14-dBm saturated output power with 8-dB conversion gain typical. The TGC4704-FC flip-chip combined medium-power amplifier and frequency doubler provides 14-dBm saturated output power with 5-dB conversion gain typical.
