Said to provide a more intuitive look at the road ahead or behind, the MT9V023 1/3-in. CMOS image sensor features wide-VGA resolution, enhanced near-IR capability, and a global shutter. The 9 x 9-mm BGA device captures 60 fps at full resolution and meets AEC-Q100 specs.
The imager has two register banks so two applications with different imaging needs can operate from one sensor on alternate frames. A high dynamic range lets the sensor capture images with both bright and dark areas, while fine shutter control allows fast integration under bright conditions for edge detection in traffic sign recognition.
