Automotive MCU ups performance, safety

The Qorivva MPC5746M 32-bit microcontroller addresses demand for improved performance with an optimal level of safety and security using three 200-MHz power Architecture cores. Targeting automotive control systems, the device has 4 Mbytes of flash, a total of 320 Kbytes of SRAM, Ethernet, CAN and LIN ports, and advanced sigma delta A/D converters.

Automotive MCU ups performance, safety

The chip has more than twice the performance of the previous device, the MPC5674F, while maintaining the same power envelope. It was developed from the ground up to address the ISO 26262 standard with a delayed lock-step core and end-to-end error correction code, as well as data correction to prevent critical faults. The IC has a security module with a dedicated core, dedicated SRAM, and a cryptographic module, flash memory security features such as flash censorship support, advanced debug access control, and secure boot modes.
