Autorouter handles many substrates

The Prance-XL autorouter is part of the company's Correct-By-Design
software for designing pc boards, multichip modules, and hybrids. Unlike a
conventional gridless router that is bound to straight lines during
routing, the Prance-XL autorouter routes with lines at the required angle
to clear obstacles. Using the company's Correct-By-Design methodology,
Prance-XL supports physical constraints including route-to-length, matched
length, string order, and stub length. Other features supported include
multiple-via pad sizes, the ability to assign a specific via to a
particular signal, and the ability to associate different vias with
different layer spans in blind- or buried-via designs. The software now
runs on Sun workstations; support for IBM, Digital Equipment, and
Hewlett-Packard workstations is due shortly. (From $49,000–available now.
