Avago Technologies Launches Advanced MMICs with Broad Bandwidth Support for Test and Measurement Market
Avago Technologies today announced three new MMICs designed to address the complex needs of test and measurement equipment applications for wireless networks. The AMMC-6380, -6470 and -6350 microcircuits are ideal for test and measurement applications where highly accurate instrumentation and signal processing support for high-end frequencies are required.
Efficiently Integrated ICs Target Sophisticated Network and Spectrum Analyzer Needs for Wireless Communications Testing
Using a cascade design for high efficiency, Avago’s AMMC-6380 is a DC-80 GHz traveling wave amplifier ideal for high gain and broad bandwidth applications. Avago’s AMMC-6470 is a 40-79 GHz power amplifier that runs with a low DC quiescent current of 300 mA. The AMMC-6350 is a DC-50 GHz differential output power amplifier ideal for instrumentation applications. It has a gain of 5 dB and a low quiescent current of 200 mA. All MMICs operate off a single +5 V and ship with on-chip matching for high performance.
The AMMC-6380, -6470 and -6350 are the newest additions to Avago’s extensive line of high quality, high performance MMICs. According to Philip Gadd, senior director of marketing for Avago Technologies’ wireless semiconductor division, “Avago holds a wealth of knowledge in MMIC performance requirements, including linearity, power and efficiency expertise, for supporting broad-bandwidth, highly reliable instrumentation systems. The products we are announcing today are ideal for addressing the highly complex needs of the growing test and measurement market, which continues to be fueled by rapidly evolving standards in the telecommunications and electronics industries.”
