Avago Technologies wins 2014 ECN IMPACT Award with LSI Syncro Solution

LSI Syncro CS 9271-8i high availability solution for fully redundant server/storage configurations selected for innovation

SAN JOSE, Calif., and SINGAPORE,  May 21, 2014

Avago Technologies (NASDAQ:AVGO), a leading provider of highly reliable server and storage solutions, today announced its LSI® Syncro® CS 9271-8i solution has won a 2014 ECN Impact Award. The Syncro solution enables the establishment of fully redundant server/storage configurations without the cost or complexity of traditional storage area networks. The annual award issued by Electronic Component News recognizes those products and services that had the greatest impact on the electronic components industry during 2013.

The LSI Syncro CS solution, built on the company’s award-winning MegaRAID® technology, provides fully redundant application and shared storage failover for two-node server CiB systems or two rack-mounted servers running external JBOD storage. The solution features a number of high availability, RAID data protection and SSD optimization features that include:

  • Dual active HA with shared storage across two server nodes
  • Server storage cluster HA topology support
  • Auto resume after loss of system power during array rebuild
  • Single controller multi-pathing and load balancing
  • RAID levels 0, 1, 5 and 6 and RAID spans 10, 50 and 60
