(NYSE: AVT), is helping to bring cellular connectivity to devices through its distribution agreement with global manufacturer of wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) communications modules, Quectel Wireless Solutions. Avnet will now offer Quectel’s line of cellular communications solutions and GPS modules to customers in the Americas.
Quectel is a leading global supplier of GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA/LTE and GNSS modules for markets including automotive, smart metering, wireless POS and security. The company’s cellular modules allow remote devices to access the Internet or Cloud. Key features of the company’s products are small form factor, low power consumption, ease of integration, long-term availability and suitability for harsh environments.
