Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas joins with Microsemi to open new applications design centers that deliver mainstream system solutions

The design centers will use Microsemi SmartFusion2, IGLOO2, and other leading-edge Microsemi Products

Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), announced the company has opened two joint application design centers with Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq: MSCC). The design centers efforts will concentrate on developing application-specific reference designs that solve OEM customers’ major technical design challenges requiring low-power and security in the design. Customers will work with Avnet specialists who are certified on Microsemi’s mainstream FPGA product lines along with Microsemi’s field application engineers and system solution experts.  Together this team is a powerful resource to help OEMs with their new FPGA-based designs and development, providing critical support with customer-related tools, reference designs and design platforms. The two design centers are located in San Jose and Aliso Viejo, Calif.
