Avnet Electronics Marketing and Fox Celebrate 20-Year Milestone
The Avnet Electronics Marketing operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), and Fox Electronics are celebrating their 20-year alliance.
The year was 1989. George H.W. Bush became the 41st president of the United States; a gallon of gas cost just 97 cents; Indiana Jones was starting his last crusade; and Avnet began providing supply chain services and support for Fox’s highly precise, highly reliable frequency control products in the Americas.
More than two decades later, Avnet and Fox still provide the electronics industry with one of the industry's largest ranges of frequency control products – including quartz crystals, clock oscillators, temperature compensated crystal oscillators, voltage controlled crystal oscillators, real time clock modules and crystal filters. Fox products can be found in numerous wireless communications equipment and telecommunications devices, instrumentation and aerospace applications.
“For over twenty years, Avnet and Fox have been helping engineers meet their toughest design needs by providing one of the world’s broadest lines of frequency control products,” said Ed Smith, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “Together we offer the support capabilities, off-the-shelf and custom products our customers need to help them shorten their design time and speed their time to market – both today and into the future.”
“Since day one we have treasured our relationship with Avnet,” said E.L. Fox, Jr., president of Fox Electronics. “Fox and Avnet have a very special bond that continues to grow and we look forward to the next 20 years with our number one sales partner.”
