Avnet Embedded, a division of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has entered into a distribution agreement for Onyx Healthcare USA’s medical-grade embedded computing and information technology (IT) products, focusing on medical related applications. Onyx offers a variety of medical grade (EN/UL 60601-1, CE/FCC Class B certified), fanless panel PC products as building blocks for advanced medical device solutions.
Avnet medical device original equipment manufacturing (OEM) customers can use Onyx embedded solutions to design into a wide variety of medical devices such as surgical stations, PACS imaging solutions, and proprietary control units for medical systems.
In addition, Onyx products integrate Intel embedded product lines to provide fanless design to enhance infection and noise control in surgical environments as well as to support extensive product lifecycles.
