Backlight guides let users control zones

Using patented MicroLens technology, GLT high-brightness LED-based backlight assemblies enable independent control of brightness and color within multiple backlight zones. Circuitry can be designed to let end users control each zone independently for color fading, pulsing, or steady-state illumination.

The assemblies suit consumer electronics’ keypads and keyboards as well as displays. Status indicators that change color and/or intensity to indicate faults, errors, or warnings can be incorporated into LCD backlights. (Contact David DeAgazio for pricing and availability.)
