Battery-monitoring solution targets hospitals, datacenters
Sentinel III is a set of components for a battery-monitoring solution that addresses the needs of OEMs for UPS battery providers and systems integrators. The components are used to create a solution for continuous battery monitoring within mission-critical installations such as hospitals, airports, and datacenters.
The monitoring solution combines transducers, dataloggers, and software components to create a comprehensive standby battery-monitoring solution (SBM). It includes the S-BOX; a datalogger featuring an embedded webserver, which enables administrators to monitor installations remotely. The datalogger features include block, string, and battery voltage measurement, block temperature and impedance measurement, discharge performance, and discharge and charge current. It also measures ambient temperature, a key factor affecting battery life. Users can set up an alarm for each of the parameters measured by the transducers connected to the S-BOX.
