Designed for testing battery-operated devices, particularly mobile phones and PDAs, the 41-743 single-channel PXI/LXI battery simulator is a very-fast-responding adjustable power supply that can provide up to 6 V and 2.8 A. The 3U PXI module’s programmable output resistance function lets it replicate batteries with a finite output resistance.
The simulator has remote-sense connections and a very fast correction loop so it can emulate a battery even at the end of long cable runs to the device under test, and it doesn’t require adding bulky decoupling capacitors to the DUT. The module is fully isolated from ground. (Contact Bob Stasonis for pricing — available 15 days ARO.)
