BGA socket needs no soldering

The SM-BGA-9007 high-performance BGA socket has elastomer capable of high-speed, low-inductance, high-endurance, and wide-temperature applications. Designed for a 9.75 x 13-mm package size, it operates at bandwidths to 40 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss.

BGA socket needs no soldering

The socket can be customized up to 100 W with a modified fin design on the screw top and by adding an axial flow fan. Contact resistance is typically 15 mΩ/pin. Mounted on a target PCB with no soldering, the socket uses a small footprint of only 2.5 mm more on each side. Temperature range is –55° to 150°C. The pin self-inductance is 0.10 nH, and mutual inductance is 0.007 nH. (From $1,245 each — available now.)
