BGA socket withstands extreme temps

The CBT-BGA-6011 BGA socket tests package configurations of BGA, 9 x 12 mm, 1-mm pitch, 48-position, and 9 x 11 ball array, and can withstand a temperature range of –55° to 180°C. The stamped spring-pin contactor has 19 g actuation force per ball, a 500,000-insertion cycle life, self-inductance of 0.93 nH, and ≤ 1 dB insertion loss at 23.2 GHz.

The current capacity of each contactor is 8 A at 80°C temperature rise and contact resistance is ≤16 mΩ. The socket also features a floating guide for precise ball-to-pin alignment. The socket can be used for hand test and burn-in characterization as well as production burn-in using automated chip loading and unloading. ($600 — available now.)
