Blades yield carrier class precise timing

The IEEE 1588 Blades precision timing cards fit into SSU 2000 or TimeHub systems to allow network equipment manufacturers and service providers to migrate existing TDM-based backhaul networks to Ethernet backhaul.

Each card’s IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) capacity is 125 full-rate clients per card, and both versions interoperate with third-party PTP clients. Front-access traffic ports use Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) modules to support 100Base-T electrical or 1000Base-X optical or electrical interfaces. (From $5,000 — available 2nd qtr.)
