Bluetooth IC handles Classic or Low Energy

The TC35661SBG-501 Bluetooth communications IC includes RF analog and base band digital components. It has the Serial Port Profile (SPP) and Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) for Bluetooth v4.0 communications.

The IC gives the user an easy way to implement a Bluetooth device for Classic or BLE without requiring any profile software on the host. The only requirement is an available serial port. The 5 x 5 mm, TFBGA packaged IC operates from 1.8 or 3.3 V and has an EEPROM interface, a UART, I2C, and GPIO. Sample pricing is $5.00 each.
