Board links SBus to Transputer systems
The HSI-SBus is a host system interface that provides Sun users with a
multilink 32-bit interface between the SBus and a 25-MHz T805
Transputer-based parallel subsystem. The board provides a sustained,
10-Mbytes/s transfer rate between the Sbus and the Transputer. The link
allows developers to use the Transputer's four 20-Mbit/s communications
links to take advantage of scalable, high performance computers and
100-Gbyte disk farms. External link connections are differentially driven
through modular jacks and standard twisted pair cabling. The HSI-Sbus has
drivers for C, Fortran, and C++ compilers. ($1,595–2 to 3 weeks ARO.)
