Nonisolated dc/dc power converter offers 50 A for space constrained POL designs

A second-generation power module designed to address size and board-space constraints, the ND 50-A POL is a 12-V input, nonisolated, board-mounted dc/dc power converter used for data communication, networking, and server applications. The module size is reduced 35% to 50% compared to the company’s first generation module.

The unit operates from a 10.2 to 13.8-Vdc input range and provides 50 A of single-channel output current in a vertically mounted, through-hole package. It features a programmable output voltage via external resistors and is adjustable from 0.9 to 3.63-Vdc output.

The module provides full output current up to 60C ambient temperature (3.3-V output), with less than 200-lfm airflow, while keeping component junction temperatures under most derating guidelines. ($15 ea/1,000 –- stock to 8 weeks ARO.)
