Board plays back compressed audio
With sampling rates of up to 50 kHz, the Series 2/Model SX-7 is an audio
playback-only board for 386/486-compatible PCs. Available with 16-bit
accuracy, the board supports Dolby AC-2 adaptive transform audio coding as
well as ADPCM, PCM, DVI, and CD-ROM XA/CDI decoding formats. The half-size
board uses a TMS320C31 DSP chip and has a frequency response of 20 Hz to
22 kHz <_2b_>3 dB. The dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio is 92 and 90
dB, respectively, and the THD is 0.005%. Software support includes Windows
3.1 as well as C, Pascal, QuickBasic, and assembly language.
