Board provides four-quadrant control
Available in a Eurocard format, the Model 5-156-028-00 provides
closed-loop four-quadrant pulse-width-modulated control of speed and/or
torque of brushless dc motors. Features of the board include a single 24
to 60-Vdc power supply, adjustable current to 18 A, velocity feedback from
commutation sensors, encoder, or dc tachometer, and a differential
amplifier for +/-10-V input command. Variables can be set using jumpers
or trim potentiometers that allow user adjustment of input command gain,
feedback gain, velocity loop gain, peak current, and the derived velocity
scale factor. Fault protection is provided for excess temperature, speed,
voltage, current, and motor stall. The Eurocard measurements are 100 (W) x
