Boeing Presents Performance Excellence Award to Newark for 3rd year
CHICAGO, MAY 20, 2010 Newark, a leading multi-channel, high-service electronics distributor in the Americas and part of the global Premier Farnell Group, today announced that it has received two 2009 Boeing Performance Excellence Awards. This is the third consecutive year that Newark’s branches in Overland Park, KS and Anaheim, CA were presented with the Boeing award.
The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Newark maintained a Silver performance composite performance rating at Anaheim and a Gold performance level at Overland Park for each month from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009.
Newark stocks electronic components and equipment from more than 500 top suppliers, and Boeing buys from the majority of its lines.
“We are honored to receive this award for the last 3 years,” commented Paul Buckley, Senior VP, Sales & Supplier Management, Newark. “Only 128 Boeing suppliers earned the Gold level recognition this year, and we feel privileged to be among them.”
