The System Cascon V4.5 boundary-scan software features what is said to be the first automatic program generator for dynamic test of on-board system bus structures. Based on VarioTAP, the tool enables complete automation of test-vector and error-diagnostics generation.
Using the same project database as the platform’s existing Boundary Scan modules, the generator recognizes structural relationships between processor and connected bus components — such as communication interfaces, CTC, bus bridge, digital I/O, analog I/O, and displays — to generates structural test vectors, which are later attached as emulation tests in real time to the target.
