Bourns expands automotive chip inductor line

Bourns adds two automotive-grade common-mode chip inductor series for noise suppression in a range of automotive applications.

Bourns, Inc. has developed two new AEC-Q200 compliant, automotive-grade common-mode chip inductor model series. The Model SRF4532TA and Model SRF3225TABG are designed for noise suppression solutions in a range of automotive applications, including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment and body electronics.

The Model SRF4532TA, housed in a 4.5 × 3.2 × 2.8-mm footprint, withstands current up to 4 A, and the Model SRF3225TABG, in a 3.3 × 2.5 × 2.5 mm package size, is designed for noise suppression in 1000Base-T1 Ethernet applications and meets the Open Alliance 1000Base-T1 Automotive Ethernet requirements. Both model series are designed with a ferrite core and provide high impedance across a broad frequency range to suppress electromagnetic interference signals.

Key specs for the Model SRF4532TA include an impedance range of 90 – 2800 Ω, a current range of 0.9 – 4 A and direct current resistance (DCR) of 0.05 – 0.35 Ω. The Model SRF3225TABG features an impedance of 3000 Ω, current of 0.1 A and DCR of 3 Ω.

Addressing high shock and vibration requirements, the core of these common-mode chip inductors is constructed with 0.3/0.4-mm high sidewall terminals that help to enhance the component’s mechanical strength on the printed circuit board, the company said.

Both Model SRF4532TA and Model SRF3225TABG series also feature shielded construction for low radiation and have an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C and -40°C to 125°C, respectively. They are RoHS compliant and halogen free.

Both series are available now. Click here for more information about Bourns’ AEC-Q200-compliant products.
