Buck controller meets load transient needs

The ISL6228 dual-output buck controller meets the transient response needs of notebook peripheral computing applications with a hybrid fixed- / variable-frequency PWM that sets to the most efficient switching frequency between 200 and 600 kHz based on the requirement of the load transient. The product operates over an input voltage range from 3.3 to 25 V and has an output voltage range from 0.6 to 5.0 V.

Buck controller meets load transient needs

The controller uses the company’s robust ripple regulator technology to provide the dynamic response to input voltage and output load transients required by today’s notebook processors. (28-lead TQFN package, $2.20 ea/1,000; $2.25 ea/tape-and-reel packaging available now.)
