Buck converter reduces switching noise 99%

The TPS54120 buck regulators, part of the QuietSupply family, reduce switching noise by up to 99%. They help maximize the performance of precision data converters and amplifiers and sensitive clock distribution circuits used in applications, such as telecommunications, test equipment, and high-end audio and video equipment.

The buck regulators have an input voltage range from 4.5 to 17 V and an output adjustable from 0.8 to 6.0 V. The devices feature a power supply rejection ratio of 83 dB at 10 kHz and 70 dB at 100 kHz. They can be synchronized to an external clock from 200 kHz to 1.2 MHz. The devices are available in 3.5 x 5.5-mm QFN package. ($1.95 ea/1,000 — available now.)
