Buck converters have low enable thresholds

Two monolithic dc/dc step-down converters have a 1-A output current and have 95% efficiency. They support VIN from 2.7 to 5.5 V. The TB7102AF offers an adjustable output voltage from 0.8 to (VIN – 1)-V and the TB7101AF provides a fixed output voltage of 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3 V. Both devices have an enable threshold voltage high of 1.5 V, and anenable threshold voltage low of 0.5 V.

The two devices integrate high- and low-side MOSFETs, a PWM controller and MOSFET driver. They also include synchronous rectification, under voltage lockout, thermal shutdown, over current protection, and soft start time. The TB7101AF and TB7102AF are offered in PS-8 packages measuring 2.9 x 2.8 x 0.8 mm. ($0.72 ea/sample qty — available now.)
