Buck regulator uses
The ADP2370/71 15-V, 800-mA output dc/dc regulator targets battery-powered applications that use multiple alkaline/NiMH, lithium cells, or other standard power sources. The regulators offer an input voltage supply range from 3.2 to 15 V and require only three external components.
The regulator offers >93% conversion efficiency. It can be configured to automatically switch to a low-quiescent power-save mode during light-load conditions. The device offers a quick output discharge feature to ensure that the output bypass capacitors are completely discharged so that the processor can wake up in a known state. The switching frequency of the regulator can be synchronized to an external clock to eliminate beat frequencies between regulators. They operate from –40° to +125°C junction temperature range and are available in 3 × 3-mm QFN-8 package. ($1.40 ea/1,000 — available now.)
