Buck regulators have 28-V input, 0.5-V output

The 4–A SiC413 and 10-A SiC417 dc/dc converters feature a controller IC with gate drivers, two PWM-optimized n-channel MOSFETs (high and low side), and a bootstrap diode in a standalone buck regulator configuration. The SiC413 has a 4.75 to 26-V input voltage range and the SiC417 provides a 3 to 28-V input range with minimum output voltages down to 0.6 and 0.5 V, respectively.

The SiC413 suits compact dc/dc PoL power supplies, 5-, 12-, and 24-V distributed-power systems. It is provided in a 5 x 6-mm SO-8 package. The SiC417 is offered in a 5 x 5-mm MLPQ 32-pin package and targets super-compact, battery-operated portable computing applications. They offer 93% efficiency and switching frequencies to 1 MHz.
