Burst-counter EPROM fits many MPUs
The CY7C270 16-K x 16-bit “processor-intelligent” EPROM can be made to
act like a processor-specific memory by programming its burst-refill
capability. It can mate directly with Sparc, 486, 68040, 960CA, 960KB,
29000, R3000, R2000, and 88000. It eliminates external burst counters,
latches, and registers. Single-read access is 28 ns; burst reads follow at
14 ns. The device can be reprogrammed for prototyping. ($56.05
