Bus address translator allows many slaves

The LTCR4318 enables the hardwired address of one or more I² C or SMBus slave devices to be translated to a different address. This allows up to 127 slaves with the same hardwired address to coexist on the same bus. Only discrete resistors are needed to select the new address and no software programming is required.

The LTC4318 has two input and two output channels. Other configurations are available. The IC also provides voltage level translation for 2.5, 3.3, and 5 V buses, ±4kV HBM ESD, 1 V precharging, and glitch filtering that facilitates hot swapping.
