Bus converter boasts high power density

Measuring 1.28 x 0.87 x 0.26 in. and with the ability to deliver up to 300 W, the B384F120T30 bus converter module has a power density of greater than 1.000 W/in.3 Accepting an input from 360 to 400 Vdc, the encapsulated device has a response time of 200 ns and the ability to deliver an isolated nominal 12-V output at 25 A with a typical efficiency of 95%.

Deployable in parallel or in series, the bus converter requires no output filter and has an isolation of 4,242 Vdc and a junction-to-board thermal impedance of 2.1C/W. Able to power individual cards or blades directly from the HV distribution bus, the device is also available in evaluation and demo boards for single-or multiple-module configurations with 12- or 48-V outputs.
