Cable equalizer offers low jitter performance

Featuring a total jitter performance of 0.13 UI, the DS16EV5110 cable equalizer enables video professionals and consumers to extend the reach of their DVI and HDMI cable connections beyond 40 m. The device also extends the reach of low-cost CAT5 cables to more than 20 m.

The device operates from 0.25 to 1.65 Gbit/s and is compliant with the DVI v1.0 and HDMI v1.2a standards. It also operates up to 2.25 Gbit/s when supporting 1080p HDTV resolution (with 12-bit deep-color depth) beyond 30 m over 24 AWG HDMI cable. Housed in 48-pin leadless LLP package, the part also features a supply voltage of 3.3 V, a power consumption of 420 mW, an ESD protection of 8 kV, and a temperature range from -40° to 85°C ($6.95 ea/100-available now.)
