Cable jumpers, assemblies handle LVDS for HDTV

Suited for large displays and HDTVs, flat flex and etched polyimide Premo-Flex cable jumpers and assemblies can now be made with low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) connectors, thereby simplifying manufacturing processes and streamlining procurement. The custom cables/assemblies are said to deliver robust, superior signal integrity performance over long distances.

Units are available in a variety of pitches, cable lengths, thicknesses, and formats, with 100-Ω controlled impedance. Connector options include: one-piece (15, 24 and 33 circuits), two-piece (30, 50 and 80 circuits), and one-touch LVDS (41 and 51 circuits). The jumpers and assemblies are gold-plated and can operate over a range of −40°C to 80°C.
