Cable plugs and receptacles meet IP67/IP68 requirements

Samtec has unveiled sealed cable plugs and receptacles for cable-to-cable and cable-to-panel applications in industrial, outdoor, underwater, and other harsh operating environments. The AccliMate Crimp Sealed Bayonet Circulars — the CCP-12/CCR-12/CCRB-12 Series — meet the IP67/IP68 requirements for dustproof and waterproof sealing.

The CCP-12/CCR-12/CCRB-12 Series connectors are available in standard size 12 shells with metal or plastic housings. And they feature bayonet-style latches to ensure proper mating with quick connection and disconnection. Next, to facilitate efficient field assembly, they enable cable lengths of up to 50 m and come with socket- and terminal-end options.

The AccliMate family of cable solutions also makes dust caps available. Furthermore, panel receptacles can be terminated with Samtec’s Tiger Eye discrete wire socket connector featuring a 2-mm pitch. Or there can be a blunt-cut cable for field termination.

Samtec has an easy-to-use online tool to provide engineers with additional design flexibility for customizing shell options, pin sizes, and various signal, power, and I/O interfaces. Engineers, for instance, can review voltage and current performance while using the Solutionator for Sealed I/O Cable Systems and receive design assistance via live chat with the AccliMate team.

The AccliMate family of sealed cable plugs and receptacles also come in three specialized versions. First, AccliMate Sealed Mini Push-Pull Systems (MCP/MCR Series) are designed to offer IP67 protection against dust and water when submerged one meter deep for 30 minutes. Second, AccliMate Sealed Rectangulars (RCX/RPBX/RPCX Series) provide space savings in higher-density designs in 1U sealed USB and Ethernet applications. Third, AccliMate Sealed Threaded Circulars (SCPX/SCRXS Series) are available in size 10 and size 17 shell sizes with rugged overmolds for USB, Mini USB, and Ethernet applications.
