Harwin has extended its M40 series of cable-to-board connectors with lightweight, low-profile 1-mm pitch versions. The connectors feature phosphor bronze contacts that are rated for currents of up to 1 A. Developed for designs with densely populated PCBs stacked closely together, they target industrial control/monitoring, communications infrastructure, industrial drives, and consumer electronics.
The M40 connectors are available in single- and double-row options with vertical and horizontal surface-mount configurations for the shrouded male headers, enabling them to meet a variety of different layout requirements. Key specifications include an insulation resistance of 100 MΩ, an operational temperature range of –25°C to 85°C, and 50 mate/un-mate cycles.
Pre-cabled female contacts are available off the shelf, with complete cable assembly layouts on request, making them well-suited for prototyping or small-volume runs, said Harwin. The connectors are supplied in either tube packaging or a tape-and-reel format.
