CAD software for ASIC layout
Version 5.0 of the L-Edit and L-Edit Pro layout editor and chip
verification package has upgraded edit features and design verification
utilities. A hierarchical edit-in-place feature speeds and simplifies
editing, window stretching, cell and layer locking, cut-and-merge
capability, and grouping and ungrouping. The software's design-rule
checker, L-Edit/DRC, now allows design-rule check browsing to determine
design-rule errors quickly. A device and parameter extractor,
L-Edit/Extract, can now recognize arbitrary devices, thus allowing Spice
netlist extraction for many ICs. The software runs on IBM PC compatibles
(under both Windows 3.1 and OS/2), Sun Sparcstations, Hewlett-Packard
HP-9000 workstations, and Macintosh systems. (From $995 for DOS version;
