As it’s been doing every September 9 for the past few years, Apple Inc. will launch its next iteration of iPhones on the same day this year. According to reports, such as one from Buzzfeed, there are multiple sources familiar with the plans, which will most likely be unveiled at a special event.
The Cupertino, CA company usually holds its iPhone announcements in early September and releases the devices about a week later, leaving itself time for the upcoming holiday season.
Although the tech giant has not made any official announcements on upcoming launch events, it’s reportedly adding Force Touch technology to its next-generation iPhones, which are sensors in the smartphone’s display that can detect how hard a user is pressing the screen. The iPhone 6S will also feature an A9 processor, an improved camera system, and a faster LTE chip.
