The ADM3052 and ADM3053 isolated CAN communications bus transceivers feature isolated signals and power, reducing component count and board size. The ADM3053 includes an isolated dc/dc converter.
The ADM3052 has a 24-V LDO regultor and offers 5-kVrms isolation between a four-wire CAN-bus with two data lines, 24-V power supply, and the power return. The ADM3053 provides 2.5-kVrms isolation for a two-wire configuration with bus-side power provided by an isolated dc/dc converter. They come in 16- or 20-lead wide-body SOIC packages.
