The PhaseCap Compact series capacitors offer voltages of 230, 400, 415, 440, 480, and 525 Vac and capacitance between 3 x 27 µF and 3 x 251 µF at 50/60 Hz, extending the company’s range of power factor correction capacitors. Depending on the type, the PCB-free series can compensate reactive powers ranging from 6 to 30 kVAr at 60 Hz.
The capacitors have a self-healing design and an integrated overpressure disconnector, which makes them able to withstand inrush currents up to 400 Ir and overcurrents up to 2.0 Ir. The capacitors are designed for a continuous operation in temperatures of 65°C and a service life of up to 200,000 hours. (From $52 to $112 each, depending on voltage and kVAr rating — 16 weeks ARO.)
