CCDs offer high
quantum efficiency
The uncooled S7030 and thermoelectrically cooled S7031 series of back-thinned
CCD area image sensors employ FFT CCDs that have a 24 x 24-µm pixel
size. Both devices offer a quantum efficiency of over 90% and a spectral-response
range of 200 to 1,100 nm. Readout noise is 8 e– rms at 150
kHz.
Other features include a dynamic range of 75,000 in line-binning mode
and 37,500 in area-scanning mode, and a dark current of 4,000 e– /pixel/s
at 25°C. The parts come in a 24-pin package with a quartz or optional
