CCFL controllers target 26 to 40-in. LCD TVs

The LX6503 and LX6523 cold-cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) inverter controllers improve display quality and performance for 26 to 40in. LCD TVs and display sizes that use high-voltage LCD integrated power supply (HV-LIPS) topologies.

The LX6523 embeds soft start, fault indication, and flexible configuration support for push-pull, full-bridge, or half-bridge drive in a 14pin package for 26 to 37in. displays. The LX6503 offers SYNC functionality and is targeted at 40in. HV-LIPS TVs that integrate both the power supply and backlight inverter. Both support push-pull, half-bridge or full-bridge inverter devices, and provide lamp striking, brightness control modes and support for 24V inverter topologies in existing backlight applications.
