Chassis mounts 8 SAS/SATA II hard drives

The DDM 08A-400 rack-mount PC expansion chassis supports up to eight SAS/SATA 3-Gbit/s drives for RAID 1, 0, 5, or JBOD configurations. The chassis features eight locking, hot-swap pullout drive frames with a cooling fan in each located in the front of the chassis.

Four additional fans are also included, for a total of 12: one 40-mm fan for each drive bay, one 120-mm fan and two 80-mm fans on the back of the chassis, and one 120-mm fan on the power supply. The chassis can interface with host systems via two external, 32-pin Infiniband (SFF-8470) connectors. ($895 — contact company for availability.)
