Chip bridges PCIe and USB 2.0

The OXPCIe200 PCIe-to-USB 2.0 host controller bridge IC offers two USB 2.0 host ports, SPI or SRAM interface, a 950 UART port, GPIOs, and Rx/Tx FIFOs. The chip yields up to 62.5-Mbit/s data throughput, while substantially reducing CPU overhead.

Other key features include a power requirement of only 300 mW, a small 9 x 9-mm-footprint thin-array plastic package (TAPP), and support for the industrial temperature range. The device is PCI-SIG compliant, and a software development kit is available. ($7.65 ea/volume qty — available now.)
