Chip combines motion and power management

The Structured Architecture of Bridges and Regulators (S.A.B.Re) customizable mixed-signal chip offers a complete set of analog functions for motion and power-management applications. The device features four configurable bridges that can also function as switching regulators or power charge, a variable-voltage buck switching regulator, a switching regulator controller, a linear regulator, a multichannel configurable 9-bit A/D converter, two op amps, a bidirectional serial interface ,and several general-purpose I/Os.

Housed in a TQFP64 package, the part dissipates 35 mW in shutdown mode. It also features a programmable watchdog function, power sequencing and supervisory functions, and thermal shutdown protection with thermal warning capability. (From $2.20 to $2.50 ea/several thousands—available now.)
