The ISL76321 SerDes interface IC targets automotive rear-view safety systems. The single-chip transceiver sends video data, bidirectional control information, and power across a single shielded twisted-pair cable.
The chip concentrates up to 16-bit-wide video data and bi-directional I2C camera control information onto a STP cable that can transmit in excess of 20 m. A camera link comprises a pair of ISL76321s connected via the cable and features a fast 10-µs line-rate locking PLL system and pre-emphasis/cable equalization. The IC is qualified to AECQ100 grade 2 (40° to 105°C) and comes in a TQFN48 package. ($4.55 ea/1,000 samples available now.)
