The X-Wall DX real-time encryption processor IC can encrypt all USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) devices at full wire speed with NIST and CSE (Communication Security Establishment) certified AES operation up to 256-bit strength. The IC’s solution provides administrator and user authentications levels, with the user needing a PIN number to access secure portions of the device.
The chip will encrypt all data on the drive, including MBR (Master Boot Record) and Boot Sectors, to attain the highest security level. It comes in AES 128-, 192-, and 256-bit strength versions with Cipher Block Chaining or Electronics Code Book modes of operation. The IC takes 121 mA max and 50 mA in standby.
