Chip resistors improve pulse handling capability
Offered in case sizes from 2512 to 0805, the RPC series surge-withstanding thick-film chip resistors are available in values from 0.27 Ω to 22 MΩ and in tolerances as low as 5%. The resistors are said to offer up to a sixfold improvement in pulse handling compared to equivalent SMT MELF resistors.
The resistors suit a variety of applications including utility meters, switch-mode power supplies, small motor controls, portable medical electronics, metering and diagnostic equipment, industrial controls, and LCD and plasma displays and monitors.
